Favorite Color

The funny story behind my obsession with green is that when I was little... all the other little girls thought I must be strange... because my favorite color wasn't pink or purple. I loved green - kelly green, please. I remember my mom made a chair/back cover thing that held my supplies behind my chair in kindergarten - it was green, probably the only one in the room that was green, but I loved it.

Green will always be my #1, but lately, I have developed a huge fascination with YELLOW. Golden yellow, yumm. So today, I've been designing a few save the dates and trying to get some photos taken of my products to send off to Hi Design House (who's working on the new website!) I designed this really cute save the date, more photos to come - and hopped over to Hello Lucky! when I heard they have a new designer working for them - Joel Dewberry (a fabric designer whose style is Eclectic Modern - I love that phrase!)

They have also been using a lot of yellow as of late (well, by as of late, I mean, since I've been stalking their blog - I LOVE their designs). Check out this styleboard - I love the vintage feel and splash of yellow throughout.

Hello Cupcake!

I just love these cupcakes from Hello Cupcake! Hostess with the Mostess posted them a few days ago. They have a website and also a book available on Amazon about these adorable cupcakes with the cutest detailing. I, personally LOVE the dogs. They are precious!

Emily Ley Paper Etsy Shop

It's official. Emily Ley Paper is now on etsy - and loving it. I could spend hours looking through the items for sale there. Some of them are just nuts. And that's what makes them so fun. It's also official that Emily Ley Paper is partnering with Hi Design House in Los Angeles to have a new website built! Exciting things up ahead!

The links below will take you to the ELP Etsy Shop.

UPDATED 3.1.10
During my year of figuring out what Emily Ley Paper is all about - I researched day and night - scoured through over 30 swatch books and finally purchased a huge lot of paper and envelopes. It's very, very similar to Classic Crest - and is a complete matching set - absolutely gorgeous and very high quality. Everything has a "vellum" texture (not smooth, not textured, but soft). The entire lot is for sale for $1,500 + shipping (paid MUCH more, but need to make room for new letterpress stock), but I am willing to break it up. Thanks for looking!

UPDATE :: Interested in parts of this lot? Email me at hello@emilyley.com for details and pricing. Please note which pieces you are interested in.
